Mock tests that explain the mistake, not just mark it.

Test Engine AI is the exam platform for institutes and online teachers. Write your tests, run them live under your own brand, and give every student an AI report on why they lost marks and what to practise next.

Sample reportQuestion 14 · Physics

A ball is thrown straight up. At its highest point, what is its acceleration?

  • AZero
  • B9.8 m/s² downward
  • C9.8 m/s² upward
  • DIt depends on the mass

Why A felt right

The ball's velocity is zero at the top, so it's easy to assume its acceleration is too. Gravity never switches off: it is what turns the ball around.

Speed × accuracy diagnostic

Two students can score 60%. They rarely need the same help.

Every topic is placed by how fast and how accurately the student answered it. Each quadrant means something different, and calls for a different next step.

Careless errors or guessing

Quick answers that miss. More content won’t fix this; pacing will.

  • MechanicsVideo
  • Q1 Multi-selectDiagram
  • Q2 NumericalLaTeX
  • Waves
  • Q3 MCQAudio
  • Section B: Chemistry
Example test outline with nested sections, on an institute's own subdomain.
  1. Q1

    Your brand, your domain

Run tests on your own subdomain with your theme and custom CSS. Emails and reports carry your name too.

  2. Q2

    Every question format

MCQ, multi-select, numerical, true/false, diagram, audio and video, with automatic LaTeX math rendering.

  3. Q3

    Bulk import

Bring an existing question bank across from CSV, JSON or DOCX instead of retyping it.

  4. Q4

Structure that matches the real exam

Nest sections and subsections, then attach video, audio or images at any level, down to a single question.

  5. Q5

    Integrity controls

Tab-switch locking, fullscreen enforcement, question and option shuffling, and configurable webcam and audio anomaly detection.

Running a live test

From question bank to exam day in four steps.

  1. 1

    Build the test

Write it, import it, or copy a public test into your library.

  2. 2

    Create the event

Name it, set the start time, and pick the test from your library.

  3. 3

    Add your students

Add a saved student group in one go, or invite the public to join.

  4. 4

    Read the results

See how the event went, track each student’s progress, and let reports go out.

Questions

Before you sign up.

Can tests run on our own domain?

Yes. Institutes can use a custom subdomain such as prep.youracademy.com, along with their own theme, emails and report branding.

Can we bring in our existing questions?

Yes. Questions can be bulk imported from CSV, JSON and DOCX files.

How does it deal with cheating?

You can turn on tab-switch locking and fullscreen enforcement, shuffle questions and options, and configure automated webcam and audio anomaly detection.

What happens to a test we copy if the original changes?

Nothing. A copy has its own independent data. It only keeps a reference to the test it came from.

Do students need to belong to an institute?

No. Anyone can make an account and take public tests. A student can also be a member of an institute and join its private tests.
